Round Lake, IL. – Las escuelas del área de Round Lake se preparan a Celebrar el Mes de Herencia Hispana donde los estudiantes desde el preescolar hasta la preparatoria son las estrellas de la noche. Un grupo de estudiantes y sus maestros de las 11 escuelas han estado trabajando arduamente para preparar a sus alumnos a sentirse cómodos en un escenario y demostrar sus habilidades en la música, el canto, la poesía o el arte.
La Celebración de Herencia Hispana se llevará a cabo el viernes 11 de octubre de 6:30 a 8 de la noche en el Centro Cívico y Cultural en Round Lake Beach. Este año, el evento gratuito también promueve la lectura y el aprendizaje sobre pintores, muralistas, escritores, poetas que han tenido grandes contribuciones en la comunidad Latina de los Estados Unidos.
Este tipo de eventos ayuda a los estudiantes a desarrollar habilidades más allá del salón de clases; donde los estudiantes pueden aprender a hablar en público, hacer presentaciones en un escenario, compartir y aprender de otros estudiantes y sentir el orgullo de su cultura, herencia y tradiciones familiares y en comunidad.

Schools celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
Round Lake Area Schools are preparing to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month where students from preschool through high school are the shining stars of the night. A group of students and their teachers from all 11 schools have been working hard to prepare their students to feel comfortable on stage and demonstrate their skills in music, singing, poetry or art.
The Hispanic Heritage Celebration will take place on Friday, October 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Civic and Cultural Center in Round Lake Beach. This year, this free event also promotes reading and learning about writers, painters, muralists, poets who have had great contributions to the Latino community in the United States.
These types of events help students develop skills beyond the classroom; where students can learn to speak in public, make presentations on stage, share and learn from other students, and feel pride in their culture, heritage, and family and community traditions.
