Waukegan, IL. – Se sembró con éxito la semilla de prevención a la violencia y crimen en menores a través del programa de futbol de verano “Against Violence”, donde la prioridad fue aprender este deporte mientras se divertían jugando.
Bajo la conducción de la organización no lucrativa, Centro Corporativo Empresarial, la Representante Estatal por el Distrito 60, Rita Mayfield, y Puro Futbol Soccer League Association se pudo llevar a cabo el torneo que fue de mayo a agosto en la cancha de la escuela Whittier de esta ciudad.
El programa incluyó todo gratis para los niños participantes, el primero de su tipo en Waukegan, en el cual recibieron uniformes completos, incluso zapatos y alimentos saludables, además de arbitrajes y coordinación del torneo, que fue divido en Mini Copa América y Mini Euro Copa.
Se registraron poco más de 450 niños, en su gran mayoría del Distrito Escolar 60 de Waukegan, mismos que tendrán la prioridad para futuros eventos.
Hay que reconocer el constante apoyo de los padres de los niños, muchos de ellos por ser entrenadores voluntarios y que aportaron lo mejor de sí en cada entrenamiento y juego.
Al final, hubo ganadores, todos salieron ganando luego de 3 meses de aprendizaje, y con una celebración inolvidable de entrega de medallas y trofeos para los participantes.
“Against Violence” soccer program concludes
The seed of prevention of violence and crime in minors was successfully planted through the summer soccer program “Against Violence,” where the priority was to learn this sport while having fun playing.
Under the leadership of the non-profit organization, Centro Corporativo Empresarial, State Representative for District 60, Rita Mayfield, and Puro Futbol Soccer League Association, the tournament was held from May to August on the Whittier school field in this city.
The program included everything free for the participating children, the first of its kind in Waukegan, in which they received complete uniforms, including shoes and healthy food, as well as referees and coordination of the tournament, which was divided into Mini Copa America and Mini Euro Cup.
A little more than 450 children registered, the majority from School District 60 of Waukegan, who will have priority for future events.
We must recognize the constant support of the children’s parents, many of them for being volunteer coaches and who gave their best in each training and game. In the end, there were winners, everyone came out a winner after 3 months of learning, and with an unforgettable celebration of medal and trophies presentation for the participants.
