Beach Park, IL. – Agentes del Sheriff del Condado de Lake respondieron a la cuadra 1800 de North Sheridan Road, Waukegan, en busca de una persona gravemente herida que sufrió las lesiones en un bar en la cuadra 37800 de North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, el pasado 17 de julio de 2023, aproximadamente a las 2:00 a. m.
Los agentes llegaron y encontraron a un hombre de 32 años, de Chicago, con una herida importante en el brazo. El hombre fue transportado a un hospital del área donde posteriormente fue declarado muerto.
La investigación preliminar muestra que el hombre estaba en el bar de Sheridan Road y tuvo un altercado verbal con otra persona. El hombre fue escoltado fuera del bar por seguridad. Después de ser escoltado afuera, el hombre golpeó con el puño una ventana cerca de la puerta principal. Esto causó que sufriera una laceración severa en su brazo y sangrara significativamente.
El hombre le pidió a un amigo que estaba en el bar que lo llevara al hospital. Mientras se dirigía al hospital, el hombre entraba y salía de la conciencia. Después de recuperar el sentido por un momento, el hombre agarró el volante del automóvil, lo que provocó que el conductor golpeara un bordo y un bote de basura, lo que deshabilitó la capacidad de conducción del automóvil.
Los detectives del sheriff continúan investigando, sin embargo, la lesión que sufrió el hombre parece ser autoinfligida. La oficina del forense del condado de Lake está realizando una autopsia esta tarde.

Beach Park death investigation
On July 17, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1800 block of North Sheridan Road, Waukegan, for a critically injured person who sustained the injury at a bar in the 37800 block of North Sheridan Road, Beach Park.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found a 32-year-old man of Chicago with a major arm wound. The man was transported to an area hospital where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation shows the man was at the bar on Sheridan Road and got into a verbal altercation with another person. The man was escorted out of the bar by security. After being escorted outside, the man punched his fist through a window near the front door. This caused to sustain a severe laceration to his arm and bleed significantly.
The man asked a friend who was at the bar to drive him to the hospital. While on the way to the hospital, the man went in and out of consciousness. After regaining consciousness at one point, the man grabbed the wheel of the car, causing the driver to strike a curb and a trashcan, which disabled the car’s ability to drive.
Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives continue to investigate, however, the injury the man sustained appears to be self-inflicted. The Lake County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy this afternoon.
