Zion, IL. – Para prevenir la propagación de COVID-19, el personal del Distrito 6 tuvo la oportunidad de recibir la primera dosis de la vacuna Pfizer el domingo 7 de febrero. Esta se puso a disposición de los trabajadores esenciales en los distritos escolares del condado de Lake.
Walgreens planeó las cápsulas de vacunación COVID-19 en Deerfield High School para vacunar a todos los miembros del personal registrados de 7 a.m. a 7 p.m.
El superintendente de Zion D6, la Dr. Keely Roberts, declaró: “Estoy encantada de darle a nuestro distrito la oportunidad de recibir la vacuna COVID-19. La salud y seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, personal y familias es una prioridad para nuestro distrito, y estoy muy orgullosa de apoyar a los empleados de la escuela y liderar la distribución equitativa de vacunas”.
Natalee Murray, enfermera del Distrito Escolar Primario 6 de Zion, dijo: “Como enfermera líder del distrito de Zion 6, me emocionó la increíble oportunidad de ofrecer vacunas a nuestros educadores. Zion 6 ha estado enseñando a los estudiantes en persona desde el comienzo del año escolar y nuestro personal ha trabajado arduamente para mantener a nuestros niños seguros mientras aprenden. Segunda dosis
La segunda dosis de vacuna será el domingo 28 de febrero de 7 a.m. a 7 p.m. en Deerfield High School. El Distrito ha planeado otra oportunidad para la primera dosis de vacunas el domingo 14 de febrero de 2021, si los miembros del personal no pudieran asistir al primer evento.
District 6 Staff Receive Vaccine
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, District 6 staff had the opportunity to get the first dosage of the Pfizer vaccine on Sunday, February 7. This was made available for essential workers in Lake County school districts. Walgreens planned the COVID-19 vaccination pods at Deerfield High School to vaccinate all registered staff members from 7 am to 7 pm.
Zion D6 Superintendent Dr. Keely Roberts stated, “I am thrilled to give our district the opportunity to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The health and safety of our students, staff, and families is a top priority for our district, and I am so proud to support school employees and lead on equitable vaccine distribution.”
Zion Elementary School District 6 nurse, Natalee Murray said, “As the District Nurse Lead of Zion 6 I was thrilled at the incredible opportunity to offer vaccinations to our educators. Zion 6 has been teaching students in person since the beginning of the school year and our staff has worked so hard to keep our children safe while learning. Our superintendent, Dr. Keely Roberts made this a top priority and worked very hard to facilitate us all with the chance to get vaccinated. This is just another step towards regaining the normalcy in life that everyone deserves!”
Second dosage
The second vaccine dosage will be on Sunday, February 28th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Deerfield High school. The District has planned another opportunity for first dosage vaccines on Sunday, February 14, 2021, if staff members were unable to attend the first event.
