Still seeking justice for Lucio

Waukegan, IL. – Lucio Cambray went missing on Christmas day 12/25/17. Friends said he was last seen at BP Gastation on Grand & Jackson in Waukegan, IL. The community & his family rallied together and conducted a search effort on 1/7/18 and at midnight on 1/8/18 the Waukegan Police Department went to an abandoned home where a body was found. A few days later the Lake County Coroner, Howard Cooper, confirmed that the body in fact was the body of Lucio Cambray.

Death was unknown
Howard Cooper went on to determine months later that the cause of death was unknown. The Waukegan Police Department still has case open and no arrest have been made.
Odalis Cambray said, “My brother would have turned 19 t on July 16th we would be celebrating but someone took his life so this is not possible. We are still seeking justice for Lucio.”
Julie Contreras of Our Lady of Suyapa Sanctuary said,” The community & family of Lucio Cambray will gather at our church & walk in a peaceful vigil to the Waukegan Police Department & have our service there praying for Justice for Lucio & all unsolved murders.”
The family & community invite all who have suffered the lost of a loved one with an unsolved case to join them in prayer. The family also pleas with community if anyone knows something about Lucio Cambray’s death that you please give information to Waukegan Police or to their Pastor Julie Contreras.
